Dear__________________:
I am eager to be selected for your Family Nurse Practitioner program, and am submitting my resume for your review. In advance, thank you for your time and consideration.
As demonstrated, I have been in the medical/health care field since 2000, launching my career at DeSoto Memorial Hospital as an ER Head Unit Coordinator and ER Tech prior to earning nursing credentials. In 2004 I received an LPN Diploma and progressed to an LPN position with the Emergency Department and after earning an Associates of Science in Nursing in 2006, I acquired my RN credentials. Since 2007 I have held the position of Emergency Room RN Clinical Leader. Over the course of my career, I have developed exceptional skills in triage, assessment and broad-scope direct patient care.
I will be completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May of this year. As exhibited through my progressive professional and academic track, I am goal-driven and committed to my nursing career, and have been focused on positioning myself for acceptance into an FNP program through ongoing education, credentialing and practical experience. I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my qualifications make me an ideal candidate for your program, and look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Kelly Soria RN
