As demonstrated, I offer over a decade of experience in Commodities and Finance as President of Edgemoore Financial Group and Senior Trader for one of California s largest Futures and Options Brokerage Firms, consistently ranking as a Top Producer.

 

Directly supporting the stated Knowledge, Skills and Abilities you seek, I offer broad-scope knowledge of financial risk and trading operations and practices of commodity futures organizations. I earned a Series 3 License in 1997, maintain current registration as an associated person and principal with the NFA and possess CBOE certification for options trading. As an entrepreneur, I have successfully traded millions of dollars annually in commodity options, both domestically and internationally, with a track record of continually optimizing results.  Over the course of my career, I have held accountability for driving full-scope operations ranging from analyzing and defining strategic direction, consulting on trading activities with industry professionals and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards to controlling financial risk through development and implementation of proactive procedures and training and directing management and support staff.

 

Having been fully-immersed in the industry for many years, I possess a keen ability to analyze and evaluate financial and market data and apply financial and risk analysis techniques and methods to assess actual and potential impact on individual traders, on the financial condition of futures and swaps intermediaries and DCOs, and on the financial integrity of the clearing and settlement system.  Illustrating my expertise, within 2 years of earning my Series 3 credentials, I launched an educational CTA specializing in educating traders in futures and options markets, with a strong focus on risk management.  Since the late 1990s, I have facilitated domestic and global educational webinar and teleconferences providing thousands of individual traders with the tools to analyze financial conditions, mitigate risk and ensure financial integrity. 

 

Further, I am highly adept in preparing, presenting and defending findings through effective interpersonal and written communications.  As an example, my role as an Online Commodity Trading Advisor has required the ability to effectively develop, present and support complex information.  I have been a collaborative Presenter of an online seminar sponsored by the Chicago Board of Trade as well as provided trading commentary on a local business broadcast channel for multiple years.  Complementing this, I have authored numerous articles in industry trade publications.
